Custer County
Miles City public safety levy
The mill levy, listed in the state results as Resolution 4689, would have paid for Miles City police and animal control vehicles and equipment. It failed by 448 votes with all four precincts fully reported, according to the Custer County results.
Dawson County
Nonpartisan county elections
The Dawson County Study Commission proposed changing the county's plan of government so elected county officials would be chosen in nonpartisan elections. Voters chose the existing partisan elections with all seven precincts fully reported, according to the Dawson County results. The certified ballot says the existing plan of government stays in effect if the change does not receive a majority of the votes cast on the question.
Rosebud County
Colstrip city government
Colstrip voters chose between keeping the current charter and adopting an amendment from the Colstrip Local Government Review Commission that would create a city manager position, shift administrative duties from the mayor to the manager and add a council seat. The amendment is leading by 19 votes with both precincts fully reported, according to the Rosebud County results.
The counts may change when county election officials complete their canvasses. Full question language and background are in Bunchgrass's pre-election guide to Eastern Montana's local questions.
